Skyfire

Terms of Service

Effective October 26, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Alexander Howard, the independent developer who makes and runs Skyfire: Island Command (“Skyfire”, “we”, “us”) at skyfire.fun. By creating a commander or playing Skyfire you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Skyfire.

The short version

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to use Skyfire. If you’re under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, your parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. You can’t use Skyfire if we’ve previously banned you, or if the law where you live doesn’t allow it.

2. Your account

3. Playing fair and being decent

When you use Skyfire, including chat, call signs and clan names, you agree not to:

If you find a bug or security problem, please report it to support@skyfire.fun instead of using it.

4. Moderation

Players can report others in the game, and we review reports. We don’t check everything players post, but we can, at our discretion and without notice: remove or hide chat messages; rename an offensive call sign or clan; mute chat; reset stats, rankings or rewards gained unfairly; and suspend or permanently ban accounts. We try to be fair, but these decisions are ours to make.

5. What you post

You keep ownership of what you write in Skyfire, such as chat messages, call signs and clan names. You give us a worldwide, free licence to store, display and send it to other players as part of running the game, for as long as it’s in the game. You’re responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

6. Medals, skins and other in-game items

Medals, skins, XP, levels, ranks, badges and anything else you earn in Skyfire are part of the game. They have no real-world or money value, aren’t your property, and can’t be sold, traded, transferred or exchanged for money or anything outside the game. We give you a limited licence to use them in Skyfire, and we can change, rebalance, reset or remove them, for example when the game is updated or when they were gained by cheating. Skyfire doesn’t currently sell anything for real money; if that changes, we’ll publish the terms that apply before it does.

7. Skyfire itself

The game, its code, art, music, sounds, text, the Skyfire name and logos belong to Alexander Howard or the people who licensed them to us. We give you a personal, non-commercial, revocable licence to play Skyfire in your browser under these terms. You’re welcome to share screenshots, clips and streams of your own play.

Skyfire is free and still being made. We may add, change or remove features, balance changes, reset progress or leaderboards, take the game offline for maintenance, or stop running it altogether. We don’t promise it will always be available or free of bugs.

8. Ideas and feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them freely without paying you or giving credit.

9. Copyright complaints

If you believe something in Skyfire infringes your copyright, email support@skyfire.fun with: your name and contact details; what work you own and what in Skyfire infringes it, with enough detail for us to find it; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the copyright or are authorised to act for its owner, with your physical or electronic signature. We’ll remove infringing material and, where appropriate, ban repeat infringers.

10. Other services

If you sign in with another service, such as Google, or follow a link out of Skyfire, that service’s own terms and privacy policy apply to it. We aren’t responsible for other services.

11. Disclaimer

Skyfire is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the game will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that progress will never be lost. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

12. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Alexander Howard won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, progress, items, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to Skyfire or these terms, even if told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to Skyfire or these terms is limited to US $50. These limits don’t apply where the law doesn’t allow them, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Your responsibility

If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law while using Skyfire, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, to the extent the law allows.

14. Ending

You can stop playing at any time and delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete account. We can suspend or end your access at any time if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop running Skyfire. Sections 5, 6, 8 and 11 to 16 still apply after your access ends.

15. Disputes

If you have a problem with Skyfire, please email support@skyfire.fun first and give us 30 days to try to sort it out. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California. If you live in the European Union, the UK or another country whose consumer laws give you rights these terms can’t override, those rights still apply, and you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
